YD Promotions was formed in 1995 by Yvonne Dearman to promote our own dance acts.
SOPHISTICATION SHOWGIRLS
Sophistication Showgirls are a professional and experienced female dance act comprised of highly trained, talented, glamorous young ladies with stunning costumes and beautiful physiques. We can range from a small group of 4 - 6 dancers (most often required) to full dance troupes. Our versatile choreography is suitable for all occasions and age groups and there is a vast range of themes to choose from to suit your event.
Several of the girls are solo vocalists and male dancers and singers can be provided if required.
We can adjust our performances to meet most requirements and can top and tail other acts. Our dancers are trained in all styles of dance and our versatile choreographer can tailor routines to suit individual requirements. Whole shows can be arranged and backing routines are available for solo singers, tribute artists and lookalikes.
AGENTS & BOOKINGS
AGENTS
We do not work for one sole agent and are able to take bookings from a variety of agents, as well as private bookings. Those who book us always come back for their next event!
We are normally happy to sign contracts that agents provide.
DIRECT BOOKINGS
We take direct bookings from individuals or companies. We require a 50% deposit on confirmation to secure your chosen date.
Costs vary according to requirements and we can tailor most shows to most budgets.
AVAILABILITY & EVENTS
Our dance acts are perfect for a variety of events and we can make any night one to remember!
We are flexible with our dates and can have several groups working at the same time, although we advise to book in advance for busy periods such as Christmas and Summer.
An overnight stay, for example at a B&B, may be required if our dancers are required to travel a long distance or have a late finish.
CHOREOGRAPHY
All choreography is created by ex-professional dancer Yvonne Dearman (who is also a part-time teacher at the famous Italia Conti Academy in London where many of our dancers trained).
Yvonne is highly experienced in Cabaret, Theatre, Film and TV. Her slick, innovative routines put the act above the rest - professionalism is our middle name!
Yvonne can also be booked as a free-lance choreographer.

We offer a range of Theme Nights including: 1960s, 1970's, Around the World, Bond, Broadway, Carnival, Flappers, Fright Nights, Grease, Las Vegas, Winter Wonderland and many more!
We can also add dancers to any Tribute Acts (for example, Rat Pack) to turn the evening into an exciting visual experience!
WORKING ABROAD
We have a pool of dancers, some of whom are happy to travel on short or longer contracts. We expect visas and insurance to be paid for, and also all travelling expenses and accommodation, plus three meals a day. Costumes travel with the dancers and excess luggage must be paid for.
With new contracts our Choreographer would travel to 'set-up' the show and her fares, visa and travel expenses would also need to be covered. For large shows our Road Manager would accompany us. Routines and costumes can be adjusted to suit your requirements and budget.
